On 30 January 2026, MAN Truck & Bus celebrated a major achievement in the light commercial vehicle segment: the MAN TGE Next Level was named “Sustainable Van of the Year 2026” (STY 2026). The prestigious award, presented by the Milan-based publishing house Vado e Torno Edizioni, underscores MAN’s commitment to holistic sustainability — combining safety, working conditions and operational efficiency.

The designation “Next Level” refers to the extensively updated Model Year 2025 MAN TGE. With this award, the jury emphasized that sustainability in the van sector is no longer defined solely by alternative drivetrains. Instead, it also includes the protection of people, improved ergonomics behind the wheel and positive impacts on the urban environment.

In its official statement, the STY 2026 jury praised the MAN TGE Next Level for its significant improvements in comfort, functionality, safety and ergonomics. These elements directly influence operational efficiency, vehicle performance and the daily working quality of professionals. Particular attention was given to the van’s new generation of advanced driver assistance systems, which help reduce accident risks while enhancing driver well-being and overall vehicle efficiency.

The 2025 model year introduces a fully renewed electronic architecture. New control units, sensors and camera systems have been integrated throughout the vehicle, enabling expanded safety features and enhanced system capabilities. This technological foundation supports a comprehensive suite of updated and newly introduced assistance systems.

Among the newly added systems are Blind Spot Warning, Drive Off Warning, Cruise Assist, Cruise Assist Plus and Turning Assist. In addition, the range of standard safety equipment has been significantly expanded. Every MAN TGE Next Level now comes equipped with Fatigue Detection, Traffic Sign Information, Intelligent Speed Assist, Emergency Brake Assist, Parking Assist, Active Lane Guard System, Cruise Control and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System as standard. This comprehensive safety package elevates active safety in the MAN transporter range to a new benchmark.

Driver comfort has also been substantially enhanced. The redesigned cockpit features a digital instrument cluster, the central MAN Media Van touch display and an ergonomic multifunction steering wheel as standard equipment. The newly structured dashboard design creates additional space within the cabin, contributing to improved working conditions for professional drivers who spend long hours behind the wheel.
